Our gear is designed to provide different levels of protection against water:

• Weatherproof bags are foul weather and spray-proof, offering protection against rain, dirt, and dust.
• Waterproof bags, duffels, and backpacks are designed to handle quick submersion, providing protection if dropped in water or exposed to heavy rain for short periods.
• Waterproof tech cases are rated to withstand prolonged submersion down to 19ft (6m) for up to 1 hour, making them ideal for underwater use.

‘Prolonged submersion’ means the product is designed to withstand being fully submerged in water for an extended period of time—typically beyond quick dips or accidental drops.

Products with this level of protection usually carry an IP68 rating, meaning they are suitable for extended use underwater, such as swimming, snorkeling, or situations where gear may remain submerged.

Keep in mind, while these products are highly waterproof, they’re not rated for deep-sea diving or high-pressure water environments. Always refer to the individual product page for specific depth and time guidance.

"Quick submersion" refers to the ability to withstand brief periods of submersion in water without allowing water to penetrate. This means the gear can handle situations like accidental drops in water or brief immersion, but it is not designed for prolonged submersion. For full protection, we recommend ensuring the roll-top seal is securely fastened before exposing it to water.

‘Foul weather and spray proof’ means that our gear is designed to protect against rain, wind, snow, and splashes from water, keeping your belongings safe and dry in wet and windy conditions. However, it is not intended for full submersion in water. These items provide excellent protection from weather elements but are not designed for prolonged exposure to large amounts of water.

The Coolers Dry Bags include an external weatherproof zip pocket with an IP65 rating.

• The main compartment (IP66) is designed for quick submersion and will protect contents if the bag is briefly dropped in water.
• The weatherproof zip pocket (IP65) is foul weather and spray proof, meaning it can handle rain, splashes, and spray—but it is not submersible. Water may enter the zip pocket if the bag is fully submerged.

Tip: Store valuables, electronics, or water-sensitive items inside the main roll-top compartment rather than the outer zip pocket when in wet or unpredictable conditions

To clean your dry bags, simply wipe them down with a damp cloth and mild soap. If they’ve been exposed to saltwater, be sure to rinse them with fresh water to remove any salt residue. For stubborn dirt, you can use a soft brush. Avoid using harsh chemicals or machine washing, as this may damage the bag’s waterproof coating. After cleaning, allow your dry bag to air dry completely before storing it to ensure it remains in top condition.

Our 5-year extended warranty covers manufacturing defects, including issues with materials, stitching, and zippers under normal use. It does not cover damage from misuse, accidents, or wear and tear. For full details and to view the warranty terms, please visit our Warranty Portal.

You can exchange or return any item within 30 days of receiving the item, if the item is in its original condition - unused, in original packaging with the original tags still attached.

Please note: returns MUST be sent via courier. Due to a change in NZ Post processes, any returns sent to our address via their standard tracked service will be returned to sender. Upgrading to a courier service is required.
